Columbia is an electric vehicle-friendly community!
You can charge your electric vehicle free of charge at five locations in Town:
- Town Hall Parking Lot – 323 Route 87
- Saxton B. Little Free Library - 319 Route 87
- Horace Porter School – 3 Schoolhouse Rd. (Not available during school hours)
- Beckish Senior Center – 188 Route 66
- Town Beach – 18 Lake Rd.
These EV charging stations are currently available for public use and there is a pay per use charge. Funding for this project was provided by VW Settlement Grant administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
