Did you know that the Town of Columbia offers Youth Services to local children, teens and families? Through a cooperative agreement with AHM Youth and Family Services, Columbia residents are able to access family focused mental health services and AHM’s Juvenile Review Board.
There is also an AHM Social Worker based at the Horace Porter School two days each week providing mental health intervention services and positive youth development activities, such as: Play Ground Mentors, several different Leadership and Service Clubs, Internet Safety Presentations for students and parents, Reaching for Respect and most recently, a Let’s Get Outside Club.
Fundraisers and Events
Throughout the year AHM staff and volunteers work as a team to coordinate major fundraisers. These events have grown in popularity each year raising thousands of dollars for our Youth Service Bureau. We have a long standing tradition and reputation at AHM when it comes to fundraising. All of our fundraisers are run by volunteers with support from the AHM administrative team in the background. There are no outside paid fundraisers associated with any of these events and 100% of the net proceeds go directly back to supporting our community and school based programs.
