NOTICE TO THE HORACE W. PORTER SCHOOL COMMUNITY
School Grounds Closed
Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, September 19
For the safety of all in the community, Horace W. Porter School and all school grounds will be closed to the public on both Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, September 19, 2026.
No one will be permitted on school property, including:
- Athletic fields
- Playgrounds
- Walking areas
- Parking lots
- Other outdoor areas of the school
Heavy construction equipment will be operating on the property, and crews will be working on the ongoing HVAC project throughout the day. The presence of large equipment, active construction areas, and workers create significant safety hazards.
We ask that all residents and community members please stay off the school grounds for the entire day on Saturday. This temporary closure is necessary to protect everyone and to allow the construction work to proceed safely and efficiently.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to complete this important project at Horace W. Porter School.
