Update on Burn Ban - Burn Ban Lifted (12/3/24) Click for more information

The State of Emergency Burn Ban issued by Governor Lamont was terminated on Monday Decembers 2, 2024. With the rain that has occurred recently the blanket ban on outdoor burning within the Town of Columbia is lifted. 

Residents are reminded that regulations still exist related to outdoor burning and burn permits, and that care must always be exercised in the use of fire outdoors. For additional information on open burning residents are encouraged to visit the Connecticut DEEP website at
