 t on Thursday\, November 5\,\n2026 at 7:00 p.m.\, for the following purpos
 es:\n\n *\nTo elect a moderator.\n\n *\nTo consider and discuss (but not v
 ote on) the following resolution:\n\nRESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATI
 ON OF $3\,993\,000 FOR VARIOUS ROAD\nCULVERT REPLACEMENT WORK AND BRIDGE A
 ND DAM SPILLWAY REPAIRS AND THE\nFINANCING OF SAID APPROPRIATION BY THE IS
 SUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION\nBONDS OF THE TOWN AND NOTES IN ANTICIPATION 
 OF SUCH BONDS IN AN AMOUNT\nNOT TO EXCEED $1\,693\,000\n\n        
     The full text of the foregoing authorizing\nresolution is on file a
 nd open to inspection at the office of the Town\nClerk\, Town Hall\, 323 R
 oute 87\, Columbia\, Connecticut for the use or\ninspection of any interes
 ted person.\n\n            All qualified electors and persons e
 ntitled to\nvote in town meetings of the Town are hereby further notified 
 that\npursuant to Section 2.5(a) of the Town Charter\, the foregoing\nreso
 lution is being submitted to the voters at referendum for a\n“yes” or 
 “no” vote.\n\n            The question to be voted upon is 
 as follows:\n\n *\n“Shall the resolution entitled\, ‘RESOLUTION AUTHOR
 IZING AN\nAPPROPRIATION OF $3\,993\,000 FOR VARIOUS ROAD CULVERT REPLACEME
 NT WORK\nAND BRIDGE AND DAM SPILLWAY REPAIRS AND THE FINANCING OF SAID\nAP
 PROPRIATION BY THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE TOWN\nAND N

 e vote will be conducted on Tuesday\, November 17\, 2026\, during the\nhou
 rs from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Yeomans Hall\, 323 Route 87\,\nColumbia
 \, Connecticut. \n\nAbsentee ballots will be available from the Town Cler
 k’s office in\naccordance with applicable law.  Absentee ballots will b
 e counted at\nthe following central location:  Yeomans Hall\, 323 Route 8
 7\,\nColumbia\, Connecticut. Voters approving the resolution will vote\n
 “Yes” and voters opposing the resolution will vote “No.”\n\n *\nTo
  adjourn the special town meeting to a referendum vote on the above\nquest
 ion to be held on the date\, during the time and at the noticed\npolling p
 lace referred to above.\n\n
